Lenses & Photochromic

What is a photochromic lens?

A photochromic lens automatically darkens in bright light and clears in low light. Our APEXX photochromic lens runs from 14% VLT (S3, bright sun) to 83% VLT (S0, low light) — one lens covers every condition from a cloudy morning to a high-sun afternoon, without you swapping mid-ride.

Which lens should I pick for my conditions?
  • Clear (S0, 85% VLT) — night riding, low light, indoor track.
  • Revo Red (S0, 83% VLT) — overcast, cloudy days, dawn/dusk.
  • Photochromic (S0–S3) — any conditions, one lens, no swap.
  • Rose Pink — flat light, fog, dappled tree cover.
  • Smoked (S3, 14% VLT) — bright sun, full daylight.
  • Dark (S4, 6% VLT) — high glare, glacier, snow, beach.
Are lenses interchangeable between Goggles and Glasses?

No — the goggle lens is shaped for the goggle frame, the glasses lens for the glasses frame. Each lens product page specifies which frame it fits.

Do all lenses have UV protection?

Yes. Every APEXX lens — including the clear and the photochromic — blocks 100% of UVA, UVB and UVC rays (UV400). UV protection is built into the lens material, not the tint.

Does the anti-fog coating really work?

Yes. All APEXX lenses are dual-pane with a hydrophilic inner coating that absorbs sweat and humidity before it condenses. It works hardest in cold-to-warm transitions (the worst fogging scenario) and stays effective at full sweat. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners — they degrade the coating over time.

Can I get prescription lenses?

APEXX prescription inserts are in development. In the meantime, our frame works with most third-party clip-in prescription inserts. If you need help finding a compatible insert, email support@apexseries.co.

Fit & Compatibility

Will the APEXX Goggles fit my helmet?

Yes — the strap is helmet-compatible and works with every major full-face and half-shell helmet we've tested. The outrigger straps adjust to clear bulky helmet vents.

Are they one-size-fits-all?

They're designed for adult medium-to-large faces and run consistent with Oakley size L, 100% Armega, and similar leading goggles. If those fit you, APEXX will fit. A junior/youth size is on the 2026 roadmap.

What does the lifetime fit guarantee mean?

If your APEXX goggles or glasses genuinely don't fit comfortably — pressure points, slip, gaps — we'll swap for a different frame variant or refund, for as long as you own them. This is a real fit guarantee, not change-of-mind cover.

30-Day Trial & Returns

How does the 30-day trial work?

Pay a refundable deposit today — £10 / €12 / $13 / A$20 / NZ$22 / C$17 depending on your region. Receive your APEXX Goggles or Glasses. Use them for 30 days. If you love them, we charge the balance. If you don't, send them back — we refund the deposit in full.

When am I charged the full amount?

On day 30 of your trial, automatically — assuming you've kept the product. If you return inside 30 days, no further charge is made.

How do I return them?

Email support@apexseries.co and we'll send a prepaid return label. Pop the product back in the original box, drop at any post office. Refund processed within 5–7 business days of receipt.

Who pays return shipping?

On the 30-day trial, we do — prepaid label included. On full-priced orders outside the trial, return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the product is defective.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — free shipping on all orders over €50 / £50 / $50 / A$50 / NZ$50 / C$50 in your local currency.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — currently the UK, Ireland, all EU member states, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. More regions are being added through 2026.

Will I have to pay VAT, sales tax or customs?
  • UK & EU — VAT is included in the price shown. No surprise fees at the door.
  • USA & Canada — no VAT; your local state or province sales/use tax may apply depending on jurisdiction.
  • Australia & NZ — GST is included for orders under the de minimis threshold; over that, customs may apply.
Where's my tracking info?

You'll receive a tracking email within 24 hours of dispatch (next business day for trial orders). Check spam/junk if you can't find it. If you still haven't received tracking after 48 hours, email support@apexseries.co.

Care & Warranty

What's the crash replacement?

If you crash and break your APEXX goggles or glasses — frame, lens, strap, anything — we replace the broken part free for 2 months on Core, 4 months on Bundle, after your trial completes. After that, opt in for £12/month coverage. No excess, no fine print.

Are scratched lenses covered?

Yes — scratched lenses are covered the same way as broken frames during the active crash-replacement period. Send a photo of the damage to support@apexseries.co and we'll process a replacement.

How do I clean the lenses?
  1. Rinse with lukewarm water to flush off grit. Never rub a dry lens — that's how scratches happen.
  2. Dab with the included microfibre cloth, working from centre outward.
  3. Air dry — don't store damp.

Avoid: paper towels, household cleaners, alcohol wipes — they all degrade the anti-fog coating.

How long does the photochromic effect last?

The photochromic dye is engineered for 5+ years of regular use. After that, the transition may slow slightly or not reach maximum darkness. You can swap for a fresh photochromic lens any time without replacing the whole frame.

Orders & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Klarna where available (currently UK & EU). The trial deposit goes through whichever card you pay with.

Can I change my order after I've placed it?

For the first 60 minutes after order, yes — email support@apexseries.co and we'll catch it before dispatch. After dispatch we can usually re-route to a different address, but please email us as fast as possible to maximise the chance.

I haven't received my order confirmation — what should I do?

Check your spam/junk folder first. If still nothing after 30 minutes, email support@apexseries.co with the cardholder name and last 4 digits of the card and we'll find your order. Most missing confirmations turn out to be a typo in the checkout email.
